Clear terms.

These terms govern the Best Grading Tools website, iPhone app, accounts, G tokens, visual estimates and private reports. By creating an account, requesting a report or buying tokens, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge receipt of the Privacy Notice. That notice explains data processing; it does not turn every processing activity into consent.

The grading service is intended for people aged 18 or over. You must have legal capacity to enter a contract and may not use the service where prohibited by applicable law.

The iPhone app is licensed, not sold. Unless a custom licence is displayed in the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies. These Terms govern the BGT account and services and do not reduce Apple’s applicable terms.

The service is provided by Lukas Haring, an individual operating in Spain under the trading name Best Grading Tools. Best Grading Tools is not presented as an incorporated company. General contact: [email protected]. Privacy: [email protected].

A valid public service address and any legally required tax or registry information will be published here before paid public release. Until then, this page remains excluded from search indexing and commercial launch is blocked; placeholder details will not be invented.

BGT provides a guided capture experience, an evidence-based visual condition estimate and a private report. The estimate is generated from the material you submit and the condition visible in it at that moment.

A BGT Grade is independent. It is not a professional encapsulation grade, a certificate, an authenticity decision, a market valuation, a guarantee of resale value or an official opinion from PSA, CGC, Beckett or any other grader.

• Do not rely on a BGT report as the only basis for buying, selling, insuring or altering a card.
• Hidden, microscopic or poorly captured defects may not be visible.
• A physical grader may reach a different result after handling the card directly.

You are responsible for access to your device, linked email and Sign in with Apple account. Provide accurate information, keep access methods secure and contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

A guest session may be linked to an account. Where an email already belongs to another account, BGT may sign in to that account rather than merge balances automatically. Wallets and reports are never merged without an explicit supported process.

You retain ownership of your card and submitted material. You grant BGT a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, annotate and reproduce that material only as needed to provide, secure and support the requested service within the boundaries of the Privacy Notice. This licence does not permit BGT to use your evidence for advertising or to train public models.

You confirm that you may lawfully submit the material and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, copyright or other rights. Do not submit people, payment cards, identity documents, unrelated confidential information or illegal content.

Each account starts with 30 quick scans. Every purchased token includes 10 quick scans: packs of 5, 15 and 40 tokens include 50, 150 and 400 scans respectively. Tokens and quick scans do not expire with time.

Confirming an evaluation reserves one token, consumed only on completion. Recapture requests and terminal failures return the reservation.

A completed search uses one quick scan, even if no card is identified. Cancelling the camera, an image without usable text or a technical search failure does not use credit. Retrying the same photo in the same session is not charged again. At zero balance, you need a pack to start another scan. Quick scans include card information and prices when verified sales are available. Incomplete searches do not use a scan. A previously consulted printing (same game, card and language) is not charged again. Recent scans and photos are stored only on your device.

Protect your sign-in and upload only material you may use. Tokens, scans and reports belong to your account; reinstalling the app does not grant the initial balance again. Deleting your account deletes its balances and does not request an Apple refund.

Apple displays the local price and processes the consumable In-App Purchase. Each verified transaction credits its tokens and scans once. Refunds are requested through Apple. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, the corresponding credits are reversed; credits already used may be recovered from future grants, without a negative available balance. This does not limit mandatory consumer rights.

Distance purchases of token packs may carry withdrawal and digital-conformity rights in your country. Apple provides the purchase confirmation and refund channel; BGT does not replace or restrict those rights.

Tapping ‘Use 1 token’ asks BGT to begin grading immediately. BGT will rely on any legal loss of a withdrawal right for an already performed digital service only where the required prior express consent and acknowledgement were shown and recorded. A defective report, lack of conformity or technical failure remains subject to applicable remedies and BGT’s technical token-return policy.

You may request support, correction, repeat performance or any remedy available for a non-conforming digital service. Deleting an account does not extinguish a claim already submitted or require BGT to retain data longer than legally necessary.

• EU consumer rights for digital services

Use BGT only for lawful personal or authorised business purposes. You must not:

• attempt to bypass tokens, purchase verification, access controls, rate limits or security measures;
• upload malicious, illegal, infringing or unrelated material;
• automate capture or requests in a way that harms availability or other users;
• reverse engineer protected service logic except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• present a BGT estimate as an official certificate, authenticity guarantee or grader endorsement.

BGT software, design, report templates, scoring presentation, text and branding are protected by intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service and your own reports for lawful purposes.

Pokémon and grader names may be referenced descriptively. Their names, images and marks belong to their respective owners. BGT is independent and is not sponsored, certified or endorsed by Pokémon, Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, PSA, CGC or Beckett.

BGT may update, suspend or discontinue features for security, legal, technical or product reasons. We aim to preserve access to completed reports or provide reasonable notice where practicable, but continuous or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

We may restrict or close an account for serious or repeated misuse, fraud, security risk or legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a route to challenge the decision. You may delete reports and your account through the app, subject to legally required records.

You remain responsible for decisions about possession, submission, sale, purchase, storage, alteration and insurance of a card. BGT is not responsible for physical damage to a card because the service never takes possession of it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BGT is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, loss of profit, market movement or a third party’s grading decision arising from reliance on a visual estimate. We do not exclude liability where exclusion is unlawful, including for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

Material changes will be dated and communicated through the app or website before they take effect where required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance only where permitted by law; otherwise we will request fresh agreement.

Contact support first so we can investigate. These Terms are governed by Spanish law without depriving consumers of mandatory protection in their country of residence. Competent courts are determined by applicable mandatory rules; no exclusive forum is imposed where it would reduce consumer rights.
