API evaluation terms.
Version 8 September 2026. Read these alongside our general terms and privacy notice.
Browser components
The JavaScript viewer, local browser cutout and WordPress integration have a separate component usage license. Personal and commercial integration is free under that license. Local viewing and cutout do not spend grading tokens or include a hosted API plan.
Evaluation service
The sandbox is for testing your own integration. Results are watermarked. Media production subscriptions are not offered until billing and operational validation are complete. Prices on the overview are planned launch prices; the exact charge and any taxes must be shown before you subscribe.
Your content and keys
Only submit images and data you are entitled to process. Keep keys private, use the permissions you need and revoke compromised keys promptly. Do not attempt to bypass quotas, extract other users' data, impersonate BGT or use the service for unlawful content.
Outputs and limits
Cutouts are automated and may fail on difficult photos. Custom PDF scores and statements come from the document author, not a BGT evaluation or certification. Inspect outputs before using them. Monthly media and per-minute limits apply, with no automatic billed overage. Test and live quotas are separate.
Temporary processing
For cutouts and custom PDFs, input images are processed in memory. Generated files are privately accessible for 24 hours and then removed by recurring cleanup. Compact request records remain for seven more days to resolve retries. Usage, account and billing records are kept as required to operate the service and meet applicable obligations. Do not submit personal or sensitive data that is unnecessary for a card document.
Grading and token access · 21 September 2026
These additional terms apply when you enable live grading or wallet permissions. A grading key can reserve one G from the same BGT wallet you use in the app. A completed evaluation consumes that token; terminal failures and requests for recapture return it. Repeating the identical submission with the same clientRequestId does not reserve another token. Sandbox keys cannot use this balance. Tokens are service units, not money or a cash balance.
You authorize only the permissions selected when creating the key. Revoking a key blocks further API access; a grading already submitted continues to completion or refund. The project owner pays; a key cannot access another user's wallet or app-created reports. Prices shown by Apple in the app or Stripe on the web at checkout determine the amount paid for a token pack. Web packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Verified payments credit the shared account balance; test payments never credit real tokens. Partial refunds revoke the proportional number of indivisible tokens rounded up. Disputed payments may withhold tokens until resolved; already spent amounts are reconciled against future credits. The internal token valuation does not change that charge or the number of tokens already purchased.
Grading originals and reports are retained privately in your BGT account under the same controls as app grading. They are not subject to the 24-hour media-result window. Unsubmitted capture drafts expire after 24 hours. Account/report deletion is available in the app. Results are independent BGT estimates, not official certification; inspect the confidence, observations and any authenticity-risk assessment before relying on a result.
Subscriptions
When media subscriptions open, Stripe Checkout will show the selected plan, recurring amount, tax and renewal terms. Subscription management and cancellation will be available from the console. Subscription billing dates and quota resets are independent: quotas reset on the first day of each UTC month. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Questions or deletion
Use customer support for questions about your data or account. The console lets you revoke API keys and cancel an API subscription; the BGT app also provides account deletion.
